Nagula Chavithi Procedure: The Karhika Suddha Chavithi which will come after Diwali new moon day is known Nagula Chavithi or Naga Chaturthi. In Hindu tradition, they treat snakes as gods and they worship snakes as serpent gods like Naga Devatha and Nagendhra. We can find so many snake idols in Hindu temples. On the early morning of Nagula Chavithi people do head bath and they light the lamps in front of gods. On daytime of Nagula Chavithi, people will do fasting and they take food at night time. On Nagula Chavithi people serve naivedhya to serpent gods and the famous Nagula Chavithi Prasadam was Chalimidi, Vada Pappu and Chimmili.


On the day of Nagula Chavithi people read Nagula Chavithi Shlokas such as naga stuthi, nagendra stotram and nagendhra ashtottharam.
